The documentary, Africa: Different But Equal provides evidence of early African civilizations that thrived before European encounters, and exposes the racism of European travelers and scholars who refused to believe that Black Africans were responsible for establishing such sophisticated civilizations such as ancient Zimbabwe. Unit 1, Class 3 also provides evidence of African genius thousands of years before ancient Egypt or Nubia.
