Commit to completing the curriculum. Create a class schedule that you can stick to, and start the curriculum from the beginning.

Utilize the Teaching and/or Study Guides, take the quizzes for each class, and take advantage of the supplemental material on the side bars!

The self-guided curriculum consists of 10 Units with approx. 10 classes each. It requires no prior training or knowledge of Black history and no additional books or material. Take advantage of our easy-to-use Teaching & Study

Guides and test your knowledge with our class quizzes! Parents, use the curriculum as a supplement to your child's regular school curriculum. Enhance the experience by discussing with family and friends.

We strongly recommend that you begin the curriculum with the Intro Unit and then Units 1-10 in that order for the simple fact that history begins in Africa. And because history must be told chronologically in order to make sense of present conditions. Lastly, it is important to start the curriculum with Unit 1: Ancient Africa because it is the period of African history that is buried the most.

Study the curriculum Unit-by-Unit for a comprehensive survey of Africa and African American history, and a more enlightened and empowering perspective of world history.
